We would advise using 720 gauge (180 micron) polythene – that’s the thickness used on Commercial polytunnels so will last at least 4 years. But it has been known for a cover to last 10 years. When you’re comparing polytunnel producers, check they are supplying a 720 gauge polythene cover.
