Monday, August 24th, 2009The perfect place to be this summer. The temperature has been very comfortable, no worries about getting wet or sun burnt (big bonus for someone with fair skin). We decided to cover our pond about a year ago as the weather in the UK is just so unpredictable and we weren’t getting the results and usage we were after. Have to say that we’ve never looked back. The polytunnel is perfect, easy to install and we are getting massively improved growth from the plants and generally using the space much more than before.

Wednesday, August 5th, 2009Ah summer holidays! This year we have enjoyed bringing on our own plants from seed. Each child selected a type of flower or vegetable to grow. We started the project back in April and the children have really got involved – sunflowers, sweet corn, potatoes. It’s been great, we’re now working towards harvest festival at the end of September.
